Hemp Explained
Cannabis, Hemp and Marijuana are not the same thing. Hemp and Marijuana come from the Cannabis plant species, but they have distinct differences in biological structures and functions. Marijuana can contain around 5-20% of tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, and low amounts of cannabidiol, known as CBD. Hemp contains large amounts of CBD and has a max level of 0.3% of THC. However, Z-Blends' hemp products are extracted through a process which draws out the cannabinoids and puts them through a purification to filter out unwanted components, including THC. This is why it's called "isolated." Our hemp oil contains 0% THC. It was important to Z-Blends to offer a product with no psychoactive effects so that you could live your day as you would normally, while bettering it.
How Z-Blends' Hemp Works
Our bodies have a naturally produced system composed of endocannabinoids, receptors and enzymes called the endocannabinoid system (ECS). This plays a crucial role in monitoring functions in your body. Your ECS helps to correct anything out of line within your body. For example, when your temperature increases, your ECS assists by triggering sweat to cool down your body. ECS also helps to regulate your digestion, immune function, mood, sleep, memory, pain and more. CBD assists the ECS in promoting stability within your body.
Grown and Processed
Z-Blends' hemp is organically grown in the United States. without the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, genetically modified organisms or ionizing radiation. It's handled in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) site. This means that the products are consistently produced and controlled at quality standards. The hemp is extracted using a CO2 process which is a safe and clean method, free of any chemicals. This method is also nontoxic and does not contribute toward carbon emissions. Once extracted, the hemp oil is processed using Nanoemulsion Advanced Technology (N.E.A.T.), the best absorption method possible.
Nanoemulsion Explained
Nanoemulsion is a manufacturing process in which the size of the oil is made small enough to absorb directly into the bloodstream. Most oil products are 6-20% bioavailable while our NEAT oil is 85% bioavailable. This matters! You're absorbing more of the ingredients, which means you're not only getting your money's worth but helping your body in the best way. Particles at this level are measured in the nanosphere using nanometers (nM). Generally, anything below 100 nM is considered pharmaceutical grade, 50 nM gets through the blood-brain barrier and anything 25 nM or less can pass through the cell wall safely while delivering nutrients where it's needed. Z-Blends' hemp measures between 15-25 nM making it both pharmaceutical grade and the most efficient method of delivery.
Legality
Hemp and hemp-derived products were made legal for cultivation and distribution by the federal government in the 2018 Farm Bill passed by the United States Congress. Z-Blends' hemp is grown and processed under strict guidelines which allow us to sell in the United States. However, state agriculture departments are free to regulate hemp as they choose. Hawaii, Louisiana, Iowa and Idaho have yet to allow the purchase of hemp-derived CBD products. This also means that hemp-derived CBD may be legal at the state level, but certain counties can choose how to handle this. Z-Blends can sell to any legal operating county.
